Sources of ATT Problems
Issues Opening ATT Files
LibreOffice Not Present
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open ATT Files" when trying to open your ATT. Usually, this is because you do not have LibreOffice for %%os%% installed. Your operating system cannot associate your ATT with LibreOffice, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: When another ATT application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Outdated LibreOffice
It is possible that your version of LibreOffice isn't able to open your Web Form Post Data File file due to incompatibility. If you do not have the proper version LibreOffice (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This issue mainly occurs when your Web Form Post Data File file was created by a newer version of LibreOffice than you have on your PC.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the ATT file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Conclusion: The majority of ATT file opening issues are due to not having the correct LibreOffice version installed.
Other ATT File Issues
Although you might already have LibreOffice or another ATT-associated software installed on your computer, you can still encounter problems opening Web Form Post Data File files. Other ATT opening errors can be created by other system problems inside of %%os%%. Other contributing causes:
- ATT file type Registry entries are wrong
- The ATT file description within the Windows Registry was removed
- Corrupt install of LibreOffice or other ATT-related program
- The ATT itself is corrupted
- Malware-tainted ATT file can't be opened
- Hardware related to ATTs has device driver corruption
- Windows has inadequate resources to open your Web Form Post Data File file
